Asif Gillani
Asif was born in London and graduated from Westminster University with a Degree in BA Commercial Music. Whilst at University he started composing music for film and subsequently was involved with composing music for the British drama/romance movie 'Bollywood Queen' featuring Preeya Kalidas and James McAvoy.
Asif is an accomplished musician and guitarist and released his first studio album 'Digital Asia' under the artist name Fusing Naked Beats in 2005. The Metro described his sound as 'Fusing Naked Beats have developed their own unique style of contemporary Asian music. Pushing the boundaries of global dance music'
No less than 40 tracks from other Fusing Naked Beats albums from 2005-2012 were play listed on Radio 1 and 1Xtra in the UK. Their international performances included Sfinks Festival Belgium, Womex Festival Germany, Stans Music Festival Switzerland, Pepsi Sziget Festival Hungary, Winterthur Film Festival Switzerland,
Since graduating from Westminster University in 2004 he has worked consistently in music, film and commercials.
Asif is of Pakistani descent.
