Brian Landis Folkins
Film and stage actor Brian Landis Folkins was born February 12, 1974 in Berkeley, California and grew up in the south in the small town of High Point, North Carolina. After going through a severe patch of juvenile delinquency, Brian moved to Colorado to start his 2nd junior year in High School, where his passion for acting changed his life. He continued his studies in Theatre and Photography at Metro State College of Denver before dropping out to pursue acting full time. Known to most simply as The BLF, Brian has worked as an award-winning actor across the country for over 20 years. His career on screen has spanned commercials, industrials, video game motion capture, and more than a hundred short and feature length films. For over two decades, Mr. Folkins has shared this expertise as a core teaching artist at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. An artistic company member at the nationally recognized Curious Theatre Company, Brian is known for his extremely broad range of characters and his heart-felt, in depth performances. In 2019, Mr. Folkins won a Henry Award for Best Actor in a Play for his performance in CHURCH AND STATE. The release of his breakout starring role in the film RENT-A-PAL (2020), marks a career-defining moment for The BLF as a complex and exciting character actor.
