Bruce Baek
Bruce Baek was born in Seoul, South Korea to a multiple award-winning South Korean cinematographer father and an actor mother He is also of Japanese descent (grand mother). Bruce moved to Glen Rock, New Jersey as a child. Originally wanting to have a career as a director, Bruce was admitted to the graduate film program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where he actually further-developed and found a true love for an acting which led to attend the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City with the full academic scholarship awarded by Ms. Anna Strasberg where he was able to study with some of the most legendary and iconic teachers in 'Method' acting and some extensive acting classes to study "Meisner' & 'Stella Adler' techniques with some of the Hollywood heavyweights.
A rising star & steadily working actor in both Hollywood & New York, Bruce is being considered as one of the most authentic and exceptionally & skillfully spoken actors especially for 'Korean' language in the state with various Korean dialects & diction skills (see trivia). Recently, he reprised a role of 'HAK Oh-Seung' in critically acclaimed TV series, 'The Flight Attendant', as a top North Korean assassin/spy who is on relentless hunt.
He is the founder of E.P.I (Emotional Proficiency Integration) technique/system which he incorporates the traditional American acting technique with Korean acting style to push the boundaries of actors' 'emotional proficiency'.
During his downtime, Bruce can be seen with his family strolling the New York City streets or enjoying his favorite coffee under the California sun.
