D'Arcy Browning
Born & raised in the Wild West Of Alberta. Since being in the Nativity scenes as a child, through JR High drama, Sr High jazz band, I have loved to perform. Even my day gig files and activities as a successful Realtor (retired) I lived out as fashion, communication, always -performances! "All the world's a stage."
Doing several years of large & tiny theatre productions for the community- Film & TV were next. Training under Jackie Lind (casting) in her Calgary studio, we then worked our way through to ACTRA membership. Radio ads helped.
I just want to work where I can help tell the stories. They matter. The set buzz, make-up, hair, wardrobe, crew team work, departmental specialties- all hold my attention to detail. So wonderful..
But like Jackie said, "Don't quit your day job." I didn't- but now that is out of the way. Yet we are blessed, and never will be the 'starving' artists. We dig in where we can.
The Indy/Union shoot of "Miracle of East Texas" was the epic experience for us of that cooperation in creative arts. I did so many things Not 'mine' to do--so did everyone. Really, everyone moved when it was needed; Producers and Stars alike all as a Family.
Hope I can help tell one of your stories. Thanks, Db.
