Damara Reilly
Born and raised in San Francisco , the daughter whose Dad was a NY & West Coast Actor/Writer and whose Mom was a Dance Studio Owner/ Teacher/ Choreographer who had started at age 7 in Vaudeville. Damara did her first TV show tap dancing on the " King Norman Show " at age 2 . Damara went onto Colorado and earned her BS in Mathematics. After Student teaching Math , she gave up her Math life returning to her real love of creativity and ran her Mom San Francisco dance studio . She became known in SF for her dance talents and was pulled from the chorus of her first musical she was ever in at the Golden Gate Theatre to become the shows Choreographer. Damara went on to choreograph musicals for San Jose Civic Light Opera, Theater Works, SRT, etc while also teaching SF State University, A.C..T., SRT, Chabot College... and over a dozen other universities, colleges and high schools. Damara loved to act and perform herself. So after being nominated for best actress in Northern California for her portrayal of Martha in 'Virginia Woolfe" at Civic Arts Theatre , receiving excellent reviews for playing JoAnn in ' Company for Shakespeare Santa Cruz , Adelaide in "Guys and Dolls" for MCLO, Shelia in ' Chorus Line", Mama Rose in 'Gypspy " ... she started doing TVand Film in SF like " Midnight Caller " , Babies" ' Can't Stop the Music" ... Damara then headed for LA . I think Damara's guest star and co-star career as an LA TV and Film success can best be seen in her IMDB filmography credits . She especially loved working with Danny Boyle, Kelsey Grammar, John Mahoney... Damara has had a successful creative career in many areas. Damara can be quoted to say she will always continue to do what she loves for she feels " entertainment is as an important as being a Doctor. Entertainers help heal the soul by giving relief from daily life , raise a person's vibration and help them enjoy daily life ."
