Damien Genardi
Photographer / Filmmaker Damien Genardi is an artist addicted to people. The prominent themes of his work include: the human complexities of expression, passion, and vulnerability; the allure of personal sexuality; the resilience of the human spirit; and the drive for survival. These themes marry with a strong visual aesthetic to make him an artist who is starting to get noticed. Recent highlights include photographing Julian Casablancas + The Voidz for Rock and Folk Magazine (France), Albert Hammond Jr. of the Strokes also for R&F, opera singer Richard Troxell, teenage rock sensations the Strypes, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols and Clem Burke of Blondie for R&F.
He lives in Portland, Oregon, where he is currently working on the feature film, The Texture of Falling with Maria Allred as Assistant Director, co-producer, 2nd shooter, and actor, as well as a musical and short film collaboration with Portland rock icon Daniel Riddle, a.k.a. King Black Acid, all to be released in 2016.
