Damien Strouthos
Born in Sydney, Damien is an award winning actor, best known for his work on HBO Max and BB1's The Tourist and the Network 10 Series, Wonderland.
Of Greek/Cypriot heritage, he got his start in acting making short films with his brother when they were kids. After graduating from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2012, he worked extensively in theatre, leading shows at The Sydney Opera House and working with every major theatre company in Sydney. In 2017 he earned a nomination for Best Actor at the Sydney Theatre Awards for his portrayal of Ivan VI in the Redline production of 'Inner Voices'. Since turning his attention to screen he has appeared across both television and film, including HBO Max and BB1 series The Tourist, Netflix original series Pieces of Her), Peter Rabbit 1&2, I am Woman (Stan), Frayed (ABC), Home and Away (7 Network) and Wonderland (Network 10).
In 2016 he produced and acted in 'Don't Stop for No-one' which was short-listed for Tropfest the same year. In 2018, Damien directed "Good, die young" for Sydney Fringe Festival which is being adapted into screenplay that he is slated to also direct. Damien has written two screenplays; "Cafe Acropolis"; a war- time adventure comedy set in Nazi occupied Athens, and "Panos, Pannos and George" the story of a miserable stand up comedians holiday to Melbourne being hijacked by three ghosts of his gap-year-past. Damien will appear as Alexi Menelaus in the Foxtel series The Twelve in late 2022.
