Dan Hamill
Dan Hamill is an Australian actor, best known for his roles on City Homicide (Seven Network), Neighbours (Fremantle Media), the Canadian series Hard Rock Medical, the tele movie The Broken Shore and The Dr Blake Mysteries both for the ABC. He has also appeared in numerous short films, most notably the lead role of Frankie in Between Me, directed by Kim Farrant (Strangerland.) Between Me screened at the 2014 International Cannes Film Festival and has it's US Premiere in the U.S. March 2015.
Dan's professional stage work includes Crazy for You for The Production Company, the Australasian tour of West Side Story in the role of Action. Most recently on stage he appeared as a lead role of Bluey in Glimpse at fortyfivedownstairs with The Kin Collective, of which Dan is a founding member.
Dan is a 2012 graduate of the full-time program at 16th Street Acting Studio in Melbourne. Originally from Perth, he began his performing career in earnest by winning the West Australian Young Performer of the Year consecutively in 2002 and 2003. In 2003 he undertook a Diploma of Contempory Voice at WAAPA. In 2004 he was a Top 10 finalist for Channel Seven's Popstars. Dan then returned to WAAPA to achieve a BA in Music Theatre, where roles included Curly in Oklahoma opposite Jill Perryman, Sammy in Blood Brothers and the Husband in Hello Again.
