Dan Macarthur
Dan Macarthur is an Australian Director and D.O.P who has worked on feature films in Miami, Hong Kong, India and Australia.
Dan wrote and directed gangster comedy feature film Nice Package.
Dan's was also Director of Photography for Deception (2013) starring Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jnr.
Dan was touted as "up there with the best" by Los Angelos-based Director Brian Trenchard-Smith (40 Director credits, following his work on the film.
"Dan is a human dynamo on the set - he's energetic, creative and always has an idea on how to achieve a challenging shot in double quick time," Mr Trenchard-Smith said.
"He is a great team leader and he just has a natural gift for shot composition and where to place the camera - which is fantastic for me as the Director. He knows the art of lighting and when you ask Dan for angle on set you always end up with a beautifully composed shot," he said.
Dan started started his career shooting music clips for well-known Australian bands including Powderfinger, Killing Heidi and John Butler Trio - winning the National ACS Award for the Best Cinematography for the Whitlam's 'Blow up the Pokies'.
Mr Macarthur's other feature credits include action thriller Blood Money starring rapper Pitbull due for international release in August, gangster film Sleeper - released in 2009 and zombie comedy Go Goa Gone(currently in post-production) featuring Bollywood star Saf Ali Khan, shot in Mumbai and Goa, India.
