Daniel Byers
Daniel Byers is the Director of the environmental film studio Skyship Films, as well as the horror/fantasy genre production company Dark Tower Films. As a documentary filmmaker, he's tracked cartels along the rivers of Honduras, chased the elusive snow leopard through the mountains of Afghanistan, and rafted through the icebergs of glacial lakes in the shadow of Everest. In the Fiction realm, he's Directed numerous award-winning shorts, the latest being "The Lion and the Firebird" - a paleolithic action/adventure and the first independent film on the east coast to be made entirely using Virtual Production technology. He is also in post for his first Feature, titled "Eradication" - a horror/thriller about love, isolation, and monsters.
Daniel's documentary films have been featured at numerous international festival screenings, events, and museums including the Smithsonian, Dallas Museum of Art, COP 26, Banff Mountain Film Festival, Telluride Mountainfilm, and DocNYC.
