Daniel Furlan
Daniel Furlan is an actor, screenwriter and musician mainly known for Brazilian hit comedies 'Choque de Cultura' / 'Culture Shock' (TV Globo, YouTube) and 'Irmão do Jorel' / 'Jorel's Brother' (Cartoon Network, Netflix, HBO), as well as the TV series 'Joint Venture' (HBO).
Furlan started on MTV Brasil where he created and hosted 'O Último Programa do Mundo' / 'Last Show on Earth' - MTV Brasil's last success. After exposure on MTV he began starring Brazilian feature films such as 'Neurotic Quest For Serenity' (SWSW, PÖFF 2018) and Brazilian/Argentine 'El Revenge' (Brooklyn Film Festival 2017) - as well as series such as Netflix's 'Samantha!' and TV shows such as the multi awarded 'Lady Night', where he also worked as a writer.
But it was 'Choque de Cultura' that due to its success, gained a podcast format: 'Ambiente de Música' (Music Environment), reaching top #1 on Spotify in 2022, as well as a book: '79 Filmes Para Assistir Enquanto Dirige' (79 Movies to Watch While Driving), in 2018. In 2020 Furlan wrote his second book: 'Você Não Merece Ser Feliz - Como Conseguir Mesmo Assim' (You Don't Deserve Happiness - How To Get It Anyway) - both figured on top selling lists in Brazil.
Before beginning his career on MTV, Furlan was a cartoonist and singer/songwriter in the band OCIO, based in London from 2007 to 2011, where he also did a Masters in Media Arts at University of Greenwich.
