Daniel Nogueira
Daniël Nogueira was born August 24, 1972, in the Netherlands. Growing up Daniël was drawn to the arts and studied illustration, graphic design and photography. A post-graduate of the University of Dundee, his thesis film "Solitair". A short mockumentary created from footage found in the Nasa archives. It received best student film award at the Dutch Film Festival and was screened at numerous National and International festivals. Throughout the years he won various awards for directing international commercials. He started his longer format work as a director on the series 'Odds'. After he made his first short film 'Jacob'. Followed by 'The Happiest Couple Alive'. Daniël's projects are characterized the human element and social criticism. Empowered by his unique vision and innovative ways of storytelling - whether it's live action, animation, an amalgamation of various visual styles, or discovering the potentials of digital realism. Most recently Daniel completed work on the of 6-part television series 'Inside the Mind of a Con Artist'. He also teaches a course at the Moving Image department of the AKI Artez Art Academy.
