Daniel Stagliano
You will note upon seeing most of Dan's performances, or by in fact meeting him in person that Dan hails from Australia. What you may not guess however, is that he is a first generation Australian with deep-seated Italian family lineage-unless you looked at his last name, which is a dead giveaway! It may just be this mashing of cultures that has carried him around the globe as a trained and accomplished artist, for the roles he has portrayed are many and varied. Arriving in New York in 2010 on the back of a healthy sized Brett Ratner backed scholarship from the New York Film Academy, Dan wasted no time in working with industry heavyweights including Matthew Modine and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. He soon found himself attached to many award winning productions as an actor. From a seedy drug dealer in 2011's movie musical 'It is What It Is' to a starring role as a troubled man child in the 2013 Cannes Film Festival short 'Conceiving Angus'. Following this, in 2015 Dan was cast in the San Antonio Film Festival Grand Prize and Urban Film Festival's Audience Award winning feature 'Somewhere In The Middle'. More recently he can be seen in the Amazon Prime 2016 comedy 'Stiffed' where he plays the hilariously lazy, lady-loving server Trevor.
Not satisfied with simply acting Dan has taken his talents to all corners of the entertainment industry. He honed his comedy chops with laser like precision after studying and performing at the famed UCB Theatre in New York. This led to a hosting role where he fronted the popular 2015 dating show 'Sextales' and backed that up by hosting the award winning Showtime nightlife exposè '3AM'. He didn't stop there, in 2018 his Italo / Australian heritage served him well as the co-lead in another award winning TV comedy / drama 'Where You From'. In addition, he has lent his voice to various projects including the kids the cartoon series 'P. King Duckling' and also the Primetime Emmy winning science documentary series 'Nova'. Dan picked up a pen for the first time since high school, co-wrote and produced a buddy comedy pilot called 'Big Wave Bandits' which is garnering interest. In 2019 he was cast in the feature film 'Respite' where he worked with Writer / Director Saro Varjabedian. Recognizing each other's talent they have teamed up in good cop-bad cop style to create and write a brand new mockumentary sitcom called 'Max Fitness' which is currently (2020) being produced by Edward Walson and Monte and Karyna Bezell of B Plus Pictures.
