Dominique Thaysen

Dominique Thaysen was born in Cape Town, South Africa, the youngest child of Shelley Thaysen (Author) and Shaun Thaysen. She was raised in many different parts of the city. Thaysen is of Afrikaner (Dutch, with some french Huguenot and German) decent. Thaysen received an education as a ballet, tap and jazz dancer. As a child in South Africa she worked as an actor in a few international commercial such as the the Italian brand "Ringo Cookies" and Russian water brands. While in school Dominique studied dance and acting at the Waterfront Theater School for three years. She would appear in multiple college graduate student films while in High School and enjoyed it thoroughly. She soon traveled to Los Angeles to pursue her dream full time in 2013 where she obtained a scholarship from The New York Film Academy. After being noticed on the popular Television show The Mindy Project, she landed a role as Mindy's intern. She then went on to be featured in a number of TV shows such as Fox's hit show Lethal Weapon, Ryan Murphy's Ratched and Criminal Minds to name a few. She also loves writing and is working on a pilot and pitch for series to submit to ISA.
