Donnie Coughlin
Donald Edward Coughlin, Jr. was born on April 9th, 1988 in Westland, MI., to parents Don and Darsa Coughlin. Donnie is the youngest of 4 siblings. Lesley, Eric, Molly.
Early in his youth, Donnie was always entertaining family and friends. From quoting movies to acting out movie scenes, improvisation and imitation became second nature. Donnie was active in sports where he played baseball, football and bowling throughout high school. He excelled especially in bowling, where he went on to States and Nationals. Learning the skilled trade of welding, Donnie was awarded multiple medals in competitions, leading to his next career move.
Due to the Economy in 2008, and a serious lack of welding jobs, Donnie found himself pointing his focus in a more artistic direction following his passion for the performing arts. While working on a handful of short films including "SICK" directed by Brandon McCarrell, he was presented with the idea of auditioning for a supporting role in an upcoming feature film alongside best friend and actor Brandon Elonzae. Though initially Donnie lost the role, director Nick DeRuve cast him in Electric City, where he spent 5 months creating his character. The film would eventually be post-poned to a later date.
Making the biggest decision of his life, Donnie packed up and left for Los Angeles, CA in the summer of 2013, where he landed multiple roles on Youtube sketch comedy group "The Best Friends Club" and a supporting role in Nick DeRuve's debut feature film "The Runaway". Set for an early 2015 release.
