Ebone Johnson
Eboné (or Ebz for short) has been working professionally in the entertainment industry for over twenty years. She started training in dance & musical theater at her mother's studio at the early age of 2, she continued training at Alvin Ailey School & Debbie Allen Dance Academy in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Musical Theater, Hip Hop, African & more.
At the age of 13 she began her professional journey, as a backup dancer for Chaka Khan as well as a choreographer for Nickelodeon's The Big Help Commercial. From then on she's had a seasoned career as a dancer, choreographer, actress & teacher going on to perform for live stage, VMA winning music videos, prime time TV and even in the Hollywood feature film Step Up 2: The Streets, in which she was cast as a speaking role. She's toured the world teaching dance workshops in countries such as Japan & Russia where she also appeared as a guest star choreographer on the TV show Dance On TNT.
Currently, Ebz has retired from backup dancing and teaches in the Musical Theater departments of both NYU & Juliard. With an entire career under her belt she's now pursuing her passion of acting in voice over & on-screen, as she has always had a gift for not only musical performance but also dramatic.
