Eduardo Rodriguez
Eduardo Rodriguez hails from Caracas, Venezuela. He studied communications at The Catholic University Andres Bello before coming to The Florida State University Film School to polish his training. He worked professionally as an editor and writer in his native country before coming to the US. His short film, Symbiosis (2000), went into competition at the prestigious Verna Field Award for Best Sound Editing in a Student Film. Since graduating from FSU, in August 2001, Eduardo has been touring his thesis film Daughter (2002) at several festivals, including Cinequest in San Jose where he won Best Student Film; and the distinguished Cannes Film Festival, where he was selected for competition in the short film category. Daughter (2002) has also earned him a three-picture deal with Dimension Studios, a subsidiary company of Miramax Films.
