Edwin Thomas
Edwin Thomas is a British actor/screenwriter who suffers a mild form of cerebral palsy, and is best known for starring as Robbie Ross in The Happy Prince (Lionsgate, Sony Pictures) opposite Colin Firth, Rupert Everett and Emily Watson. His performance as Robbie won him international claim, and he was nominated as a 'Screen international Star of Tomorrow' in 2018.
Guy Lodge said in Variety: "Ross's weary, take-and-take relationship with his client, friend & sometime lover gives the film its most quietly moving thread, buoyed by Thomas's stoic, softly sorrowful performance." For his work, Thomas was selected as a Screen International Star of Tomorrow.
When injuries resulting from his condition prevented him from acting for a large part of his early career, Thomas worked in education, teaching English & French. He made a recovery using The Feldenkrais Method, which he now teaches to athletes & performers.
Thomas has also recently taken main roles in Victoria (2018), Into the Night (2020), Invasion (2021) and The Laureate (2022).
