Elise McCredie
Elise McCredie is an award winning film director, screenwriter and actor. Her first feature Strange Fits of Passion (writer/director) was selected for the Cannes Film Festival and was released world wide to critical acclaim. It received 3 AFI nominations, an if nomination, an AWGIE nomination and was nominated for the Bronze Horse at The Stockholm Film Festival. Elise's second feature Ride Like a Girl, directed by Rachel Griffiths was the top grossing Australian film of 2019 and received both AACTA and AWGIE (Writers' Guild) nominations . Elise has been nominated five times for AWGIEs and has won twice. She has written and directed extensively for TV, she has written both seasons 1 and 2 of Emmy winning Nowhere Boys (ABC), written and co-created the AACTA winning best mini series, Sunshine (SBS) and Jack Irish (ABC) and season 2 of Secret City (Foxtel). Elise wrote and was the show runner on the Netflix series Stateless which she co-produced with Tony Ayres and Cate Blanchett. In 2020 Stateless won a record breaking 13 AACTA awards including best TV screenplay and best mini series.
