Erica Jean Mungor
Erica Jean Mungor lives and works out of Los Angeles, CA as an actor, stunt woman and photographer. When she's not working she's training and fighting in amateur Muay Thai fights around Southern California.
The short film, An Evening at the Diner, showcases much of Erica's acting ability as she portrays multiple versions of the character, Tia, as seen through the eyes of three high school friends "people watching" at a late-night diner and dreaming up wild fantasies as they spy on her and her man, Eddie (Jose Rosete). Available for Streaming Now on Amazon.
Erica recently completed the film, Fort Irwin, where she portrays, Private Rodriquez, a soldier that must move quickly to rescue her fellow soldier caught under heavy gun fire. Coming March 2019.
Under heavy prosthetic make-up, Erica portrays an early cave woman in the Kubrick-esque short film, Grok, which was shot entirely on 35mm as part of an AFI special. Coming April 2019.
Starting in 2015 Erica started training in the Stella Adler technique at The Aquila Morong Studio with teachers Deborah Aquila, John Hindman and Troy Ruptash. Erica also has performed comedy and improv extensively having completed the UCB program, iO West and with Miles Stroth (Pack Theatre). She previously also studied at East West Players and the Howard Fine Studio with Heidi Helen-Davis.
Her training in Muay Thai led her to become the 'go-to' person among her friends to act in and choreograph fight scenes for their internet videos. This soon expanded to the world of stunts training at XMA in North Hollywood with Mike Chat, high falls with Joe Witherall and continues with firearms training and weapons.
In May 2018 Erica started Muay Thai fighting out of Team Bully Buster in Studio City, CA with Coach Keta Meggett and Team Victory with Coach Rod McIver. Her interest in the sport started in late 2016 at Muay Thai America Gym where she first started training in Muay Thai. She also worked for a time as a segment producer and camerawoman for International Fight Showdow (IFS) in Anaheim, CA.
Erica was born in Fort Belvoir, VA and comes from a family of Military Vets including her father having served 25yrs and grandfather served during WWII in Normandy. She grew up coast to coast on military bases until her father completed his tour of duty in Albuquerque, NM, where she graduated Valley High School and briefly attended the University of New Mexico. Through the National Student Exchange program Erica soon found herself studying at Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona, CA and later participated in the ACCENT Study Abroad Program to Paris, FR where she lived and studied French and French History.
