Ericka Gomez

Ericka Smith (Gomez) was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 12, 1979. She is an award-winning screenwriter, producer, director, author, lyrical poet, and the owner of SeanVan Productions. She named the company after her late son, Sean Van Hoesen Jr, who was tragically killed in 2019. Ericka is a black independent filmmaker that loves writing multiple genres. Her goal is to create diverse concepts and unique stories from within the black community.
