Erik Grönwall
Erik Gronwall came to stardom after winning Sweden's "Idol" franchise in 2009. His first single, "Higher," went Gold in digital downloads in three days. Just ten days after the "Idol" finals, his self-titled album debuted at no. 1 on on the Swedish charts and stayed there for four weeks, certifying Platinum. He followed the album with 2010's "Somewhere Between a Rock and a Hard Place."
Known for his unique range and heavy metal voice, Gronwall became the frontman for popular hard rock band H.E.A.T. in 2010. His first album with the band, "Address the Nation" reached no. 1 on the Rock charts. They have since toured all over the world and released three studio albums together. Their critically-acclaimed follow up, "Into the Great Unknown," was released in 2017.
In 2018 Gronwall will play apostle Simon Zealotes in the production Jesus Christ Superstar Live In Concert. Additional theater credits include the lead role in Sweden's production of "We Will Rock You," featuring the music of Queen.
