Erik Joel Rodríguez
Erik Joel Rodríguez Franco, known as Erik Joel Rodríguez, is a Colombian actor (1986) whose work comprehends 20 years of acting experience in theatre, television and film for Colombian and Latin American productions. He studied at the prestigious acting school , Teatro Libre Acting School in Bogotá, where he obtained his title in Master in Acting (2007). Lived in London, England for nearly 5 years where He worked as a theatre actor for independent projects. Returned to Colombia in 2010, where he started a prolific and successful acting career in professional theatre working with the majority of theatre companies in the city and recognized theatre directors, at different important venues such as Teatro Colón, Teatro Jorge Eliecer Gaitán, Teatro Mayor Julio Mario SantoDomingo and Teatro Nacional, among others.
His work in TV gathers a unique work as an actor, standing out for his versatility, capacity to change and also work from a profound place of truth; deep approach to character creation and intellectual curiosity, could have, step by step, taken him to be the respected talent He is today in his industry and among actors of his generation.
In 2019 He obtained the title of Dramatic Art Pedagoge, by the University of Antioquia; field that impulsed him to create his own acting studio and lab, named Del Papel a la Acción (2019); a space for professional actors and actors in studies, who are interested in investigation and knowing Erik Rodrigue'z point of view regarding the art of acting.
His ability to act/perform in English language and English dialects such as , British, American, Italian, French; and Spanish accents such a Venezuelan, Argentinian, Chilean, and Castellano, among others; make Erik Rodríguez, an actor who can prove professionalism, artistic ethics and talent to any work nationally and internationally.
