Ernesto Mahieux
Ernesto Mahieux's path to acting was influenced by his fathers' passion for music and theatre. In 1982, Ernesto appears as King of the Broom in Alfonso Brescia's "Giuramento" and two years later he acts in "Torna a Guapparia". Ernesto breaks away from character acting in the movie "Maccheroni", directed by Ettore Scola and starring Marcello Mastroianni and Jack Lemmon. In 2001 Ernesto steps into the role of an anti-hero in "L'imbalsamatore", earning him a David di Donatello Award for Best Supporting Actor, and in 2009 he is one of the protagonists of Marco Risi's feature "Fortapàsc". Mahieux's latest projects include "Gramigna" (dir. Sebastiano Rizzo), "Il Sindaco del Rione Sanità" (dir. Mario Martone) and "Attenti al gorilla" (dir. Luca Miniero).
