Evan Towell
Known for his intense on-screen presence, Evan is an actor that gravitates to cutting-edge roles and characters with depth. Nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 2019 at The 48 Hour Film Project in Savannah, he is known for co-starring in "The Cowboy Soliloquy" opposite Sylvia Jeffries. Now, Evan is going to be in the Shining Light Pictures film, "The Fetus," a sci-fi movie, playing the younger version of the main character portrayed by legendary horror actor Bill Moseley. Evan knew he wanted to be an actor at 14 after a chance meeting with Brittany Murphy on the streets of NYC. He is influenced by the talents of Jake Gyllenhaal, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Jack Nicholson.
After getting his start as a model, he studied Meisner technique and Method Acting under acting coach Anthony Paderewski. While in Santa Monica, California, he learned scene analysis from the talented Jeff Seymour and then studied On Camera Acting Techniques to hone his craft under William Mark McCullough in Savannah. To prepare himself for more active roles, Evan learned hand-to-hand combat, Krav Maga, weapons handling and tactics under Matt Clanton of Atlanta, Georgia.
Evan was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. When he is not acting, he manages his event company, "Oysters XO" in Charleston, South Carolina, where his company is hired to shuck oysters for major events. He is well-traveled, passionate about photography, loves music festivals and skydiving. Places he has explored include California, Utah, Miami, New Orleans, NYC, Florida, and several parts of Mexico. Evan is managed and represented by Millie Lewis of Charleston, South Carolina and the Newton Agency in Tampa, Florida.
