Ewan Ross is a former British army Captain with the Royal Highland Fusiliers and the Parachute Regiment. After resigning his commission he entered the private military world working on counter kidnapping operations in South America to anti-terrorism operations in Pakistan. After a lot of deliberation he decided to pursue his dream and become an actor. Starting out with part-time classes in Montreal with Jacqueline McClintock who recommended he attend the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City. During his second year at school he took a few weeks off and went to Iraq as a private military operator over Christmas 2003 in order to secure the funds to finish his studies. After leaving theatre school Ewan performed in several Off-Broadway plays including Romeo and Juliet as Tybalt. He then starred in an award-winning short co-starring Debbie Harry. Since moving to London he has been working on film and television. He is the brother of Elizabeth Ross, film editor, and son of biographer Hamish Ross.
