J. Omar Castro
J. Omar Castro is the youngest of three brothers and was born of Honduran immigrant parents in a suburb of New Orleans, LA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, MBA, and Master of Global Management from Tulane University and is a proud Military Veteran having served 7 years in the U. S. Air Force. Although he performed in a number of plays at the grade school age, on a whim he enrolled in an Acting class his Junior year at Tulane. As a result, he refueled an underlying passion and it was at that time that he began to develop a plan to pursue a career in his passion as an Actor. Upon completion of his Undergraduate Studies and Military Service, J. Omar moved to Austin, Texas to further develop his craft in a Master in Fine Arts Program at the University of Texas.
He booked his first Television role in a Navy Seals Mini Series within the first few months after the move which warranted him leaving Austin, TX and subsequently moving to Los Angeles soon thereafter in 2001. After a few years in Los Angeles, J. Omar studied the Meisner Technique at Playhouse West in North Hollywood to which he credits for truly understanding the Craft and his exponential growth as an Actor. He continues to develop his Craft between Film and Television projects steadfast in further development of his ever-evolving Craft.
