Jaclyn S. Powell
Profane, profound and edited only for punctuation and grammar, Jaclyn was raised in Joliet, IL. Since leaving home at 18, Jaclyn has lead an exciting life with more twists and turns than a Hitchcock movie.
On her way to Hollywood to take her shot at movies, Jaclyn was held hostage in Las Vegas during those years when the mob was losing its grip and Howard Hughes was stepping in to take its place.
She escaped that life as an English Major at UNLV, then moved on to become a ski instructor at the prestigious Deer Valley Ski Resort, instructor to the rich and famous. Mostly rich.
Jaclyn took a position with a major law firm in Puerto Rico as al litigation trial coordinator. Relying on her writing and performing skills, Jaclyn escaped the islands and resumed her writing and performing career in NYC.
As one of the last graduating classes from the New York Film Academy Union Square Campus, Jaclyn has won for best short script with The Last Shred of Daylight, now in pre-production, and has two feature film scripts doing well in the festival circuit.
