Jacob D. O'Neal
Many years ago Jacob went to a movie with his family. The movie - Overboard starring Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. When the film was over his family all piled into the station wagon and headed home. Knowing Jacob always had something to say about movies he watched his mother asked him what he thought. He said, "It was okay, but the cinematography was really grainy." Jacob was 10. From that moment on there was no question what Jacob would do with his life. the only question was what part of movie making to pursue.
He went to college at Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Arizona where he fell in love with screenwriting, but he also loved bossing people around. So he wanted to be a director. He got sidetracked for many years because of the pressures put upon him to get a "Real" job. He worked security, retail, collections, sales and as a taxi driver. But he never forgot his passion. In 2011 he and Brian Smith wrote a screenplay for a feature they call "Welcome To Deadsville" and formed a production company, Robot Vampire Productions, under which they have begun to produce short films like "Lepus" (available on the DVD anthology Death By VHS) and "Terrestrial" starring Bill Oberst Jr.
He is developing other short films and a web series while trying to turn "Lepus" into a feature along with co-hosting three podcasts on Abnormal Entertainment - The Gorram Nerd Hour (with Brian Smith), From The Underground and The Science Of Fiction.
