Jah
Jah was born in Belize, Central America on June 6th, 1986. He is the middle of 13 children of Phillipa, a Belizean Health care provider and Faron, an entrepreneur. He grew up in a very poor part of Belize city known as "Back ah Village." He attended Grace Primary School where he was introduced to performing arts. He was the most brilliant student in the entire school excelling in everything he touched. He was raised by his grandparents after his parents migrated to the USA in order to better provide for him and his siblings.
While in high school Jah developed an interest in theater and acting. He migrated to the United States in 1998 where where he was introduced to the art of film and film making. He directed his first film in 2009 titled "Ditch Day." He made his film debut in 2014 with the lead role of "Juice" in his second directorial titled "States (Money is the Root of All Evil)." He not only directed the film but also wore the hats of Writer, Producer, and Editor of the film. He is a brilliant story teller and "States" is an instant classic. He is the first Belizean to direct a full feature film in the USA and the first Belizean in history to direct 2 feature films.
He currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
