Jaime Puerta
Jaime is a director, actor and producer with more than 20 years of experience. His TV commercial "TAG-morphosis" won the TAG-Heuer Jury Award for Best Commercial. He was also the creative assistant to the director for the Ecuadorian film "A Son of Man" that became the Ecuadorian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards and had six nominations for the Platino Awards of Ibero-American Cinema.
He founded the New York-based production company, A FILMS, in 2012. Among the projects he directed and produced are music videos for Husbandry (US), Jean-Paul (Spain), and Nung Nung (Taiwan) as well as short documentaries for the singer Jose Antonio Garcia (091), Tzu Chi Foundation, the Legal Resources Center of South Africa, and Africa.com. Moreover, he was the 1st AD in the feature films "Indiana" and "Stealing Chanel," and numerous short films.
As an actor, he co-starred in "Arrayan" (Linze TV, Canal Sur), TV show awarded with Ondas Award in 2005, as well as "El Comisario" and "Yo soy Bea" (Tele5). In the silver screen, Jaime performed in "12+1 a metaphysical comedy" by Chiqui Carabante, awarded in Malaga Film Festival 2010, in addition to numerous short films. On stage some of the highlights are "Four Legged Melancholy," "El Sindrome del Congo," "El Silenci del Mar," "La Vetlla Funebre" o "Ullsenblanc."
