Jake Hulse

Jake Hulse lives in Massachusetts and went to college in Boston. He recently placed silver in the 2020 Page International Screenwriting Awards, his first independent feature (writer/director) premiered at Dances with Films and is available on most streaming platforms. Jake has never lived anywhere for longer than five years so in order to fit in he developed a dark and twisted sense of humor. Which is why he writes dramas about witty people who find themselves alone and facing situations that they're totally unprepared for. His characters feel genuine because they contain a specificity earned through personal experiences in law enforcement, teaching high school history in an impoverished city, and most recently watching his three year old son kick the shit out of cancer (1 year of remission!).
