Mauricio de Montellano
Mauricio is a Mexican actor and singer. He was born in Mexico City on November 19, 1982. He studied acting and singing in Mexico and in some other places such as Holland. For many years he focused his career on theater, above all musicals were he performed in many of them in Mexico. At the moment he's performing in the Disney's musical of Broadway "Aladdin" in Mexico City as Razoul and understudy of Jafar and Sultan directed by the Tony Award Winner Casey Nicholaw. Previously, his last performance in musicals was the other Disney's hit "The Lion King" (El Rey León) directed by Julie Taymor where he had the role of Mufasa/Ensemble.
On international TV, Mauricio has a role in the series "Imposters" Season 2 (NBC Universal/Bravo) performing with stars like Uma Thurman, Griffin Dunne, Inbar Lavi, among others. Soon he will be seen on the series "El Galán. La TV cambió, él no" produced by FOX and StarPlus.
Some of his most recent TV projects are: "Como Tú No Hay 2" produced by W Studios, Lemon Studios and Televisa; the NBC Telemundo's series "Falsa Identidad" available on Netflix; the soap opera La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo (Televisa); series such as Su Nombre Era Dolores La Jenn Que Yo Conocí produced by BTF Media and Univision; Los Súper Pérez (MVS) and in other productions of Televisa such as La Gata, Corazón Indomable and Lo Que la Vida Me Robó.
Depositarios was his first film, directed by Rodrigo Ordoñez.
