Nahanni Johnstone
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Nahanni's first love was horses and she wanted to be a jockey. By the time she was 10 she was too tall, and at 17 on a trip to Paris, she was scouted by a modeling agency and stayed to work in Paris and Milan, notably as muse to Vogue photographer Guy Bourdin . After her first film appearance at the Venice Festival in the Italian film Summertime, she moved to New York to study acting, training first with Walt Witcover, and then The Barrow Group. She was also mentored in directing and playwriting by Curt Dempster at Ensemble Studio Theatre. She has a varied career in theatre, television and film, and also coaches actors and writers, with the firm belief that the most important aspect of an artist's storytelling career is self empowerment. She has 2 children and is married to Stunt Coordinator Steve Lucescu.
