Nathalia Acevedo
Nathalia Acevedo is a Mexican actress best known for her acting debut in Carlos Reygadas' Post Tenebras Lux which premiered in competition at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and won for Reygadas the Best Director Award. Her most notable roles since include starring alongside Tadanobu Asano, in Filipino cult director Khavn De La Cruz's, Ruined Heart, in 2014 (shot by Christopher Doyle and premiering at the Tokyo Film Festival 2014) and starring in Marialy Rivas' Princesita, a Chilean production by the Larraín brothers.
Life and Career: Nathalia Acevedo was born in Mexico City in 1984, to a Peruvian mother and Mexican father. She grew up in Mexico City, where she attended a German school. She went on to pursue studies in Political Science in Geneva, Switzerland, later learning Photography in Barcelona, Spain and finally Communication Sciences in Mexico City. Before meeting Carlos Reygadas, which spurred her career in acting.
