Nathaniel Bacon
Nathaniel Bacon is a Toronto theatre star and Canadian film & television actor. He was born in Lindsay, Ontario and raised in the rural countryside of the Kawartha Lakes.
He attended both the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Drama Studies as well as a diploma in Acting.
Nathaniel has worked substantially as a model, appearing in the first ever "America's Next Top Model: Live" and walking the runway in shows like Toronto Fashion Week, TOM (Toronto Men's Fashion Week) and Fashion Art Toronto. In addition, he's been featured in print campaigns for companies like "Jean Machine" and "Fido".
In 2012, he landed his first substantial acting roles with guest spots on "The L.A Complex" for the CW network and "Transporter: The Series" for HBO. He then took to the stage at 4th Line Theatre and received rave reviews for his first starring role, in the debut production of "St. Francis of Millbrook" by Dora Award/ Pauline McGibbon Award- winning playwright Sky Gilbert.
Since then, Nathaniel has worked widely in both stage and screen.
In theatre, he's remained a frequent collaborator with Sky Gilbert, playing the title character in "My Dinner With Casey Donovan" at Theatre Passe Muraille and appearing in his opera "Shakespeare's Criminal" at Factory Theatre.
In 2015, Nathaniel won Best Actor (musical) at the Broadway World Toronto Awards for playing the title role in "Hedwig And The Angry Inch" (at The Lower Ossington Theatre). This lead to a gig opening for Tegan And Sara at the World Pride closing ceremonies. Nathaniel returned to The L.O.T in 2018 to play Dr. Frank N' Furter in a highly successful production of "The Rocky Horror Show".
He made his feature film debut in the Jason Momoa sci/fi-horror movie "Debug" from Gemini Award -nominee David Hewlett. He then appeared in numerous shorts, including "Stroke Of Fate", co-starring Umbrella Academy's Sheila McCarthy, which was screened at the New York City International Film Festival. His next feature length movie will be "Wickensburg" starring Denise Richards, currently in production.
Nathaniel has continued to work most frequently in television with roles on "The Expanse", "Saving Hope", "Copper", "Reign", "Incorporated", "Shadowhunters", "Falling Water", "Love Island: Aftersun" and more.
He resides in Toronto, Ontario.
