Nigel Hartwell
In 1997, Nigel Hartwell attended Loyalist College and took one year of Television Broadcasting where he excelled in video production, quickly realizing that he wanted to make the move into film. In 1998, Nigel attended and graduated Film Production Vancouver Film School. He then joined the Directors Guild of Canada as a production assistant and worked on several projects in Vancouver. During this time, Nigel started his own production company "New Blood Entertainment" and began development his first feature horror script entitled "Insight Of Evil". "Insight of Evil" was released on Home Video through "The Asylum". At this time Nigel joined the unions to light films and Television series as a lighting tech.
Nigel embarked embarked on a no budget feature film entitled "The Expedition" in 2004. The Expedition was released in 2007 by Brain Damage Films. In 2010 Nigel took on The Killing Games as the DOP, and then went too shoot another film Tales From the Dead Zone. In 2015 Nigel became a Union Gaffer holding dual membership in IATSE 873 & IATSE 634.
In 2018, Nigel completed his 3rd feature film Insight of Evil 2: Vengeance. He then went on to produce and anthology series entitled Horrorathon Volume 1 and 2, with a 3rd and final installment coming Halloween 2021. After Horrorathon he produced and associate produced several upcoming horror titles: Strix, Z Dead End, The House that Eats Flesh, Dr. Gift, Tales from the Dead Zone, Scream Bloody Murder. He then wrote, produced, Directed, Shot and Edited his next film Demented which will have a Release Date of August Friday the 13th 2021. In 2021 Nigel is in Pre-production on Demented 2 and developing a zombie feature film The Epidemic.
