Nominated YAA 2020 Best Performance Young Actress in a Streaming Series for "Teddy Scare" from Netflix's #PrankEncounters with Gaten Matarazzo and prank master, Kevin Healey. Also, in 2020, Opal was nominated for Best Performance by a Young Actress by Young Actor Academy Awards (YAA) and Young Entertainer Award (YEA) for her lead role as Emily Knox in Sci-Fi horror director Padraig Reynolds' Dark Light , with Leatherface star, Jessica Madsen. After filming 6 weeks overseas in the Republic of Georgia, it screened to thrilled fans at the World's Largest Horror & Sci-Fi Festival, @FrightFestUK 2019. SAG-AFTRA eligible since age 6, Opal is a precocious, old-soul, renaissance child actor and entertainer. Brilliantly smart, quick-witted, adventurous, funny and clever, she has worked with some of entertainment's greats including Jason Bateman & Laura Linney in Netflix's Ozark; directed by legend Clint Eastwood for The 15:17 To Paris with Judy Greer, the Prank Encounters team and Modern Family. Growing up in the mountains of Georgia, she has deep roots in Appalachian folkways and art; training in fiddle, mandolin, singing and ukulele with some of Country & Bluegrass' most talented Old-time music artists including Kari Sickenberger, John Day, John Grimm, Jason Kinney, Ann Whitley and more. Opal is also a Montessori-Trained thinker, Folk artist, Social Media Influencer, Outdoor Enthusiast, and STEAMgeek. She is based in LA with international representation.
