Oryan Landa
Oryan Landa (pronounced "O'Ryan") is a New York based actor known for The Blacklist (2013), The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020), and The Devil's Candy (2015).
Oryan was born in Spokane, Washington and grew up on a farm south of town where he developed a love for the outdoors, and his first passions in life were rock climbing and skiing. And though he started doing commercials while high school, he didn't have the opportunity to fully explore acting until college.
He first enrolled as a Philosophy major at Western Washington University, but after an acting class with Nina Roman he decided to switch his focus to Theater. After his Freshman year a series of life events took him to Phoenix, AZ where he continued studying acting at Arizona State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in Drama and Film/Media Studies.
After graduation he moved to Austin, TX, and started booking lead and supporting roles in film and TV including The Devil's Candy (2015) from director Sean Byrne opposite Pruitt Taylor Vince, and From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series (2014) from director Robert Rodriguez. He also continued honing his craft with coaches Marco Perella, Sally Jackson, Maurice Moore and Will Wallace, and worked behind the camera as a casting assistant on Song to Song (2017) from director Terrence Malick and others.
In 2015 Oryan spent a summer studying at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan and decided to make New York City his home.
Along the way Oryan has also lived in 3 other countries - teaching English in China, volunteering at an orphanage in India, and spending a year in French-speaking Belgium - and has traveled through 26 countries and all 50 states. His ancestry is both Spanish-Mexican (mother's side) and mixed-European (father's side).
In addition to working in TV and film, Oryan has recently appeared on stage in The Laramie Project and Stories We Tell to Night at the Times Square Arts Center and Hudson Theater in New York City.
