Ozzy Villazon
Ozzy Villazon graduated with top honors from the prestigious M.F.A Directing Program at the American Film Institute, where he received the Richard P. Rogers Spirit of Excellence in Directing Award for his AFI Thesis film, SILENCIO FUERTE, which was singled out as a "Director's bold vision and the creation of a bleak but searing authenticity." He began his career at the age of 5 as a child actor in films and commercials which included the Sundance Grand Jury Winning film STREET MUSIC.
Recently, he directed GET THE LIFE, which had its European premiere at the prestigious 60th BFI London Film Festival and screened at various festivals worldwide including Raindance, Outfest, and Frameline Film Festival. He was a Directing Fellow at Film Independent Project Involve where he was under the mentorship of Oscar Nominated Writer/Director Dan Gilroy (NIGHTCRAWLER). He's currently working on his feature debut, a political thriller to be shot in Bolivia. Ozzy is a cancer survivor.
