Roshaun Akeem Page
Roshaun Akeem Page was born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan. In 2003, he discovered his love for the arts, specifically filmmaking, thus, he began training in Theater at Oakland Community College. In addition, Page studied a plethora of acting techniques, including the Meisner Technique at the Actors Workshop in Royal Oak.
Roshaun founded It's a R.A.P. Production, LLC in 2012. Under his production company, he has written, directed, and produced several short films. In that same year, his film "Choices" won best screenplay at the Detroit Film Coalition and was viewed on Comcast channel 16. His short film "Brenda" based on the popular song by the late Tupac Shakur, was well received. It is on YouTube with over 28,000 views and growing. In the fall of 2015, he successfully raised funds for his short film "Ian and Zoe" which will be starting its festival run soon. Also, in 2015, Roshaun was a featured guest on the Detroit Public Television show, Metro Arts Detroit, where he was able to discuss the basis and inspiration for his work. Metro Arts also aired various clips of his work. He is now making his transition into feature film directing starting with his dystopian Sci-Fi Drama "Disruption".
