Ruby Amanfu
Ruby Amanfu is a Ghana-born, Nashville-based Grammy, Soul Train and BET Award nominated Songwriter and Recording Artist with 7 critically-acclaimed solo albums. Her recent accolades include co-writing the Grammy nominated Song of the Year, "Hard Place" for the artist, H.E.R., "A Beautiful Noise" for Alicia Keys and Brandi Carlile, and being featured as a composer and the sole female vocalist on the historical drama series, The Chosen.
Ruby's original songs have appeared in shows such as: I Will Destroy You, Grey's Anatomy, Little Fires Everywhere, Nashville, Pretty Little Liars, Love in the Time of Corona, and in films such as The Photograph, Self Made, The Secret Life of Bees and Hope Springs.
Outside of her vast solo artist and songwriting career, Ruby's work has included vocal collaborations with Beyoncé ("Don't Hurt Yourself"/Lemonade), Jack White ("Love Interruption", Blunderbuss, Lazaretto) and Norah Jones (Pick Me Up Off The Floor). She also appeared as herself on the television series, Nashville.
