Vinny Silva
Vinny Silva, action illuminated his life at the tender age of 8 when he learned to fend for himself when his parents divorced and was left under his aunt and uncle's care whom had a family of their own. Though he recalls his childhood with compassion, his taste for action developed early by wandering the streets of Brazil in awe of the country's well known Rio Carnavale's acrobats. He began dipping his heels in the art of Capoeira, gymnastics, horseback riding, extreme sports and this generation's Parkour. He passionately watched Jean Claude Van Damme's movies, teaching himself with the latter's famous moves. From this, stemmed his ambition to become an action star. Evidently, America's blazing show business' lights was his goal.
10 years later, at 18, he flew to the San Francisco by himself to major in Theatre at a local college and soon after started working on student films, such as landing a stint in the play "A Streetcar named Desire" as Pablo in Frisco's busy Actors Theatre district. He became a competitive and active member of his community becoming the best in his classes and making a name for himself conquering difficult heights and his immaculate display of his body's fluidity.
In 2013 he finally moved to Hollywood where Van Damme's career took off. Here, he completed his studies and honed his form in a martial arts school as well. He trained with fellow actors from sunset to sundown, hoping their dreams will catapult them to their much earned place in the land of glitz and glamour.
Turns, twists and air flips on a handful of airtime caught the eye of the National APA Awards in 2013, landing his feet firmly on second place in the Action category. His courage and perseverance to triumph over a love lost from parents is what makes Vinny an actor who deserves his turn. The streets' fences, walls and pavement literally became his own concrete jungle, obstacles he can tumble out off to pursue his dreams. Vinny continues to improve his craft as he knows his passion for action is constantly evolving.
To date, Vinny can be seen in 2015's 6 Ways To Die.
