Xavier Burbano
Xavier Burbano is truly an international artist. Born and raised in the mean streets of Chicago, he was first bitten by the acting bug as a kid, and not by choice. Looking back; he likes to think of that time, as being schooled in survival. Absorbing and understanding behavioral patterns from a sorted cast of characters; he has honed that skill and has brought it into his acting world. His first brake, came through the BBC at twenty-five; alongside Collin Firth and Albert Finney and many other international stars; in a six month series in Cartagena, Columbia. He then traveled to Caracas, Venezuela; to be the villain in a co-production: Madrid, Spain and Rome, Italy; alongside John Savage and Tomas Arana. After, he studied "The Method", at The Lee Strasburg Institute in NY, but then, abruptly left the acting world on the verge of fame, with three films pending. After more than a decade-long hiatus; life has come full circle and has brought back the artist with extreme passion and fierce energy. United with many Latin actors, from his past; he calls Miami home and has managed to brake back into the Latin Market on a few telenovelas at Telemundo Studios, as "El Maton" (the killer). In the latest film, "Rigidez Caraverica"; he is the lead, as an ex-Cuban Soldier turned serial killer. It's in one of the only "slasher" type-movies ever made in the Spanish language. So there are hi hopes throughout the Latin and especially, the Cuban community. Currently, people can appreciate his talents in many languages. His films are now in Spanish, Italian and best of all, English. Raw and ready to take you to limits unseen, unfelt and unknown. Clearly, keep your eyes on this young American actor.
