Dominic Carter is a British actor best known for his recurring roles as DC Hooch in Coronation Street, and as Janos Slynt in the HBO series, Game of Thrones. Dominic is a veteran of television, appearing in several popular British television and film projects including credits in shows such as Doctors, The Bill, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Confirmed in 2010, Carter was announced to play Janos Slynt, the commander of the City Watch in King's Landing (aka 'The Gold Cloaks') and founder of House Slynt. Initially only introduced as a guest star in the first series, his spot-on portrayal of the character led to his return for the second, fourth and fifth seasons. Although an insufferable character, Carter brought a much more humanistic element to the series, making it easier to determine who the good guys were. Slynt eventually ended up at the Nights Watch, before meeting his end at the hands of Lord Commander Jon Snow. Though his watch has ended, his lauded spate on Game of Thrones is ought to open a few more doors.
Dominic Joseph Catrambone (born March 16, 1976 in Chicago, IL) is an American voice actor, voice over artist and acting coach. He has voiced many different characters in animated series, cartoons, animated movies, anime dubs and video games. He is best known for voicing Leonardo in both the 2013 video game Nickelodeon: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and in the 2014 video game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze, voicing Sulk, Kevin, Fan, Night Mare, Ow the Dentist, and Cave Teen in Bag in Dawn of the Croods, and the voice of Micro-Ice in the animated cartoon Galactik Football. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Dominic attended St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois from 1990 until graduating in 1994. Afterwards, he studied Biology/Pre-Med · Marketing at the Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle, Illinois. Shortly afterwards, he attended the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts West in Los Angeles in 1996 and graduating in 1998, he studied Acting and Theatre there. From 1999 until 2004, he worked at Hard Rock Cafe International in Universal City, California. He worked there from October 2006 until 2015. He was on staff, along with his business partner, as the Drama Director for Providence High School in Burbank. Dominic was born in London, England. He went to Eton College and then to the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, where he studied zoology, but more importantly - discovered his love of acting. He then went back to London to train at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. Dominic now resides in London, and when not filming - he can often be found upon the stage of one of London's many theatres.
