American actor and producer, Drew Taylor was born Andrew Wade Taylor on January 5th, 1982, in Fauquier County Virginia and was raised in Nokesville, Virginia. He is the son of Sylvia Lorraine (McGlothlin) a substitute school teacher and Myron Kenneth Taylor a minister. He has four brothers and a sister. He attended Bristow Christian Academy. He is of English, Patawomeck, and Scottish decent. At a young age he developed a love for horses, and trained them on his family's farm. At the age of 15 he suffered an injury while training a horse. While recovering from his injury he watched three movies that he would later say had a "big impact"on his life. A Street Car Named Desire, The Apostle, and The God Father. " I wanted to evoke the same emotions in others that these performances had evoked in me". After winning a modeling competition in 2003 he briefly moved to New York City where he worked as a model for the agency, New York Models. Shortly after modeling for Calvin Klein in the summer of 2004 he moved to Los Angeles. In 2005 he was accepted into The Sanford Meisner Center where he studied under Martin Barter. He began his acting career on the stage and his television debut was in Wild West Tech (2005). Taylor was cast as Alexander The Great, in Battles B.C (2009) where he performed his own fighting stunts while on horseback. Taylor lives in Los Angeles California. He has a boxing redemption story project in development.
Drew was born in 1961 in Vancouver, Canada. Acting from childhood in home movies and community theatre, he studied acting at Studio 58, then much later at the Arts Club Masterclass. In between, he studied with many notable Vancouver acting teachers including: William B. Davis, Marc Baur, Donald Adams, Matthew Harrison, Fiona Hogan, Andrew McIlroy, and received online coaching from Kirsten Clarkson ("KC") through her Screen Acting School. He has performed in many short films, television as an actor and background performer, and in docudramas and features. His stage acting work includes Sydney in Deathtrap, Judge/Preacher in Rimers of Eldritch, and Paul in Farragut North. In 1982, '83 he played Rocky in The Rocky Horror Show at the Arts Club Mainstage and the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver. He has lived in Toronto, Ontario Canada with his wife and young son since August 2015.
