A creative on the rise, Dan Perlman is a comedian, writer, and director from New York City. He is the executive producer, co-creator-writer-star of Showtime's critically-acclaimed comedy series, Flatbush Misdemeanors. Dan co-created the award-winning digital series of the same name, which served as the foundation for the Showtime show. Made on zero-budget, the first installment became Oscar-qualified after winning the Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Short at the 2018 Florida Film Festival. Dan has been featured on Comedy Central Stand-Up and was named one of the 2018 New Faces in stand-up at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. His writing has also appeared in The New Yorker. Previously, Dan created and wrote an animated series, That's My Bus!, which received a pilot order from FOX, and appeared on The Iliza Schlesinger Sketch Show on Netflix. Most recently, Dan wrote and directed a short film, Cramming, which won the Audience Award at the 2020 Brooklyn Film Festival and First Prize at the 2020 Rhode Island International Film Festival.

Dan Peters was born on August 30th, 1979 in East Liverpool, OH. He moved around a lot as a child before settling down in Streetsboro, OH, where he eventually graduated high school in 1997. The acting and movie making bug bit him at an early age, but was never afforded the opportunity to pursue a career in the industry, aside from auditioning for movies that never came to fruition and creating his own movies on various video cameras while utilizing all of his friends. It wasn't until the fall of 2009 when he was offered a 2nd Unit Director job in the much talked about Showgirls: The Return. He now spends his time setting up his own independent horror movie production company, writing scripts and gathering talent to begin his first of feature horror films.

Dan Peterson grew up in a small town in Southern California. He was adopted at birth and through a weird series of events tied to the Manson Murders, was connected to his Hollywood birth parents. He attended UCSB in Business and Quantum Statistical Analysis and after finishing school he ended up in Hollywood to pursue an acting career. His career started out at a nightclub in Los Angeles called "Chippendales". As he has been quoted "it is all about timing" he was tall dark and handsome with blue eyes and a mustache. It was the time of "Magnum PI and Tom Selleck" He soon became the "face of Chippendales". Called Mr. Chippendales by the owner Steve Banerjee. He traveled the world representing Chippendales as a model and spokesperson. Soon after he created a calendar company with a business partner and actor, Wolf Larson (Tarzan). Skin Deep became a successful company that competed with the famous Chippendales Calendar. His close relationship with Steve Banerjee ended as scandals started to break Chippendales apart. Dan Peterson became a well-respected Photographer and is to this day. The knowledge he learned early on about film and working as a model and actor created a perfect fit. Still, in front of the camera from time to time, he feels the most comfortable shooting and spending time with his family. He is also a respected USATF Track and Field Coach and Official, also World-Ranked in Track and Field Throws. He lectures about longevity and practicing healthy behaviors and attitudes through scientific analysis.

He is a Canadian actor, who performed the role of Thad Guerwitcz on ESPN's football series Playmakers, and was the voice actor of Geoff in Total Drama Island, Total Drama Action, and Total Drama World Tour. In 2006 he had a role of Bull in American Pie Presents The Naked Mile, a part he reprised in 2007 in American Pie Presents Beta House.
