Duncan Heath was raised in the artist's colony of Westport, Connecticut by parents of professional artistic accomplishments in television, theater, and music. A scholar-athlete in high school and college, his early pursuits spanned the social sciences, arts, humanities, competitive inter-collegiate wrestling; and military service. He earned a commission as an officer in the United States Army serving in Europe for four years. Duncan has kept his acting skills stage-ready, performing in principal roles in Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Ernest, and, David Henry Huang's Yellowface, with the Beverly Hills Playhouse of San Francisco. His acumen as a sports photographer earned him two trips to the Olympics to photograph for the United States and the Peoples' Republic of China in Beijing and Vancouver, Duncan lives near San Francisco with his wife and daughter.
