He has been around movies from an early age thanks to his father who was working in the movie distribution industry giving Daniel unlimited access to movies in times where the TV was restricted to two hours program per day by the government. His creative nature led him into exploring and learning visual arts at an early stage and later, into the art of film making especially. Daniel found easy access into this medium through acting first thanks to his open and warm personality, genuine accent and professionalism. Growing up in Romania, being exposed to Eastern European literature and art, learning the American filmmaking skill, contributed to defining his style as filmmaker. His constant desire to be in touch with the story telling medium, when he wasn't on movie sets and he would take any job on sets, he was working with Maryland Ensemble Theatre as Associate Artist creating promotional videos, trailers and fund-raising video materials from 2014 till 2018 when he moved to California. In his latest project 27 Children, a Romanian short drama based on true facts, he pushed his abilities further as filmmaker by directing, writing, shooting, editing and producing it by himself with no crew. And this was his first project where he had a chance to work with Romanian actors, an old dream of his. He currently splits his time between West and East Coast working as cinematographer and director on films, music videos or commercials, meanwhile writing his next project.
