Elizabeth grew up in a large, loud and loving Nigerian household in Los Angeles. She likes to think of herself as a mashup between Raven Baxter and Miranda Bailey (cool points if you get it). Known for her big belt and bold choices, she's always been in love with performing. Her first taste of the magic of storytelling was in her "starring role" as ship passenger #3 in her middle school's production of Anything Goes, and she's been chasing that euphoria ever since. Her journey as an artist hasn't been a typical one. She went to the University of Southern California as a health promotion and disease prevention major with (what she thought were) hopes of going to medical school. She then found a better way to combine her love of science and impacting communities by becoming a Teach For America Los Angeles Corps Member. She taught 11th grade biology at Da Vinci Design HS in southern California, and eventually also helped develop their theatre program from the ground up. While at Da Vinci, she directed and choreographed Little Shop of Horrors, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, and Grease while also performing at regional theaters from Orange County to Hollywood. Some of her most notable roles include Deloris in Sister Act (Scenie Award Winner for Breakthrough Performance) and Netting in The Color Purple (NAACP Award Winner for Best Ensemble). So much of her time was spent as an educator encouraging her students to pursue their dream, and she realized it was time for her to practice what she preached. She moved to New York City to further her career as an actress, and was fortunate to make her aspirations come true. Within 9 months, she performed at regional theaters in New York and Indiana, made her Off-Broadway debut, and achieved a life-long goal of booking a Broadway tour, The Color Purple.
